A powerful typhoon No.18, Chaba, is currently on the sea north of Kumejima in Okinawa prefecture, heading to the north with the speed of 20 km/h. JMA says it will move to the sea west of Kyushu in the night of Oct.4th and change directions, moving across the Japan Sea, approaching from western to eastern Japan on Oct 5th.

Typhoon Chaba will cause stormy weather and heavy rain on Oct 5-6th, depending on the direction.
For a coming week, the typhoon or pressure trough tends to bring cloudy skies or rain, although it will be sunny in places, covered by a high pressure system in the middle of the week. The precipitation will be more and the temperatures higher than the average year.
